MAGIC -Stanford Go2Market Program 2015


Dear all,

In collaboration with Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB), MaGIC is launching the Stanford Go2Market Program in March 15 - 20, 2015 at MaGIC, Cyberjaya. The program is specifically designed for aspiring individuals who are ready to commercialise their intellectual property, ideas and research.

The objective of the program is to help participants establish their go-to-market strategy and plan. Some of the agenda of the 5-day program include:

Business Strategy and Model
Customer Value Proposition
Financial Ratios and Statement Analysis
Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis
Customer Profitability Analysis
Design Thinking
Pitching to Potential Investors / Partners

MaGIC is currently accepting applications until February 12, 2015. This is a great platform to connect and learn from the world-renowned Stanford GSB faculty, and some of Malaysia’s top entrepreneurial talent.

Let’s Excel Program P2

On 30th June 2012, 8.30 am till 5.00 pm, Let's Excel Program P1 P2 was held in campus. We conducted Let's Excel Program for Probation 2 Students. About 80 P2 students attended the program. FRIENDs were facilitators for the group dynamic discussion throughout the program. It was officiated by Prof. Dato' Dr Muhammad Rasat Muhammad, MMU President.

GRADUAN ASPIRE 2012

On 30 June 2012 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) Plenary Hall 5, about 40 students were sent to attend GRADUAN ASPIRE 2012. This program gave them an opportunities to students to build their social network work Human Resources staffs of companies and at the same time being able. get updated information from the industry.

AIR ASIA Career Talk

On 28 June 2012, 2.30 pm at STAD Meeting Room, Level 1, AIR ASIA Career Talk was held. About 86 students registered online and about 20 students turn-up during the event. The session was about AIR ASIA sharing information about career path in aviation industry. It was delivered by Safina from AIR ASIA.

Leader’s Talk for YTM Scholars

On 27 June 2012, 3.00pm at Corporate Communication Seminar Room Leader’s Talk for YTM Scholars was organized by Yayasan TM in collaboration with Counseling & Career Development Unit. About 70 students sponsored by YTM attend the talk. The talk was delivered by General Manager of IT & Network of TM. He was also ex-MMU student and being sponsored by YTM. The speaker shared information about how to be successful person in life.

I-SMART V2 Camp

On 15-17 June 2012 at Taman Negara, Selai, Johor, I-SMART Camp V2 was held. I participated as facilitator in the camp. About 25 students sponsored by Yayasan TM from both campuses Cyberjaya & Melaka attended the camp. It is our hope that, through this camps can assist students to unleash their true potential during their campus life in the university

Counselor' Session with Yayasan TM sponsored students

On 14th June 2012, 2.30 pm at STAD Meeting Room, Level 1, STC Building. I have the opportunity to meet and get to know better our newly students sponsored by YTM. About 20 students turn-up for the session. During the sharing session, I share the importance of them to be prepared as a university students which is different from being in a school. Being able to manage self accordingly during campus life is essential of being as successful student.

FRIENDs Binding Camp 2012

On 1 - 3 June 2012, we were involved in FRIENDs Binding Camp at Ipoh, Perak. About 20 FRIENDs were involved. It gave us an opportunity to understand them better. Several interesting places were visited such as Perak Muzeum, Lang Recreational Lake and many more

MMU New Students Orientation Program May Intake 2012

On 29 May 2012, 4.00 - 5.00 pm at Dewan Tun Canselor, Cyberjaya Campus, we were involved in STAD Briefing. Approximately about 800 new students registered for this intake. During the session, we shared information about what was counseling and what types services offered to students. It is our hope their journey to study in this university would be enriching!.

New FRIENDs Training Workshop

On 25th April 2012, 2.00 till 4.00 pm at Counselor's Training Room, STAD, New FRIENDS Training Workshop was held. It was conducted by Ms Jenet. FRIENDs are a group of selected students being trained by counselors to play an effective role as Peers in campus. Welcome guys!.

Discussion with Senior Director, Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD)

A discussion held with Mr Zamzuri Abd Majid, Senior Director of Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) on 24th April 2012, 11.00 am till 1.00pm in his office. All executives (Assistant Managers & Managers) were involved. Many updates about on going programs coordinated by STAD were being highlighted.

I-Blogger Bazaar Volume 2.0

Recently, on 26th April 2012, 5.00 pm at FCI Glass room, I managed to drop by to see I-Blogger Bazaar Volume 2.0 program organized by TM Scholarship Students in MMU, Cyberjaya. More than 20 booths were open during 2 days program. This activity encourage entrepreneurship culture among students in campus. Being an entrepreneur is also a career path need to be explore among students.

Talent RoadMap 2020 Launching Ceremony

On 26th April 2012, 2.30 pm at Putrajaya Information & Convention Centre (PICC) Talent RoadMap 2020 was launched by YAB Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abd Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The objective of the event to promote Malaysia as a new for global talent by 2020. I attended the event. Various human resources staffs from various companies also attended the event.

Bengkel Pemantapan Pengurusan Sekretariat Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP) Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Swasta (IPTS)

Recently on 18-20th April 2012 at Allson Hotel, Nilai Selangor, Bengkel Pemantapan Pengurusan Sekretariat HEP-IPTS was organized. More than 40 private universities, colleges attended the program. The objective of the event was to improve cooperation among private universities and colleges. At the same time, give suggestions to the Ministry about issues faced by private universities and colleges. I was also involved as part of committee from Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) MMU, Cyberjaya. Currently, MMU is managing Sekretariat HEP-IPTS and Mr Zamzuri, Senior Director STAD is the current Chairman of Sekretariat HEP-IPTS. More than 100 participants were involved. The program was supported by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

Future Leadership Program (FLP)

Recently on 13-15 April 2012 at Teratak Riverview, Tg Malim, Perak, Future Leadership Program (FLP) was organized by Students Representative Council (SRC) in cooperation Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) for 60 young potential leaders selected from students clubs and societies in MMU, Cyberjaya Campus. Ms Jenet was also the advisor and facilitator during the event. It is our hope these young leaders can assist us in developing towering personalities students in campus
