Career Talk & Mock Interview at SBPI, Sabak Bernam

On 21th July 2010, 8.30 am - 5.30 pm at Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi (SBPI) Sabak Bernam, Mr Baktiar Hasnan, from Counseling Unit, MMU participated in the Career Talk & Mock Interview with 140 form 5 students. The program was organized by Counseling Unit, SBPI, Sabak Bernam with the cooperation of Admisssions Bursary & Local Promotion MULTIMEDIA UNIVERSITY.

Students Election Session 2010/2011

On 14th July 2010, 8.45 am till 4.30 pm at FIT Atrium, FIT Building, Student Affairs Division (STAD) participated in the Student's Election. Students were able to select their leaders in newly Students Representative Council (SRC). About 4,000 students from both campuses participated during the polling day. They voted through E-voting system available in campus. Coounselors participated during the process with other staffs.

Earlier than that, on 7th July 2010 was the Nomination Day. The candidates submitted the application form to join the election process. On 12th July 2010, the candidates were briefed about E-Voting system in campus and finally the election day held on 14th July 2010. Mr Zamzuri Abd Majid, Senior Director, STAD was also at the election counter, Cyberjaya during the election day.

Disussion with Deloitte, US Representative at MDEC Office

On 8 July 2010, 3.15 pm at MDEC Office, Cyberjaya. Counselors were invited to participate in a discussion with Matthew R. Adams, Spencer Schobert and 2 others from Deloitte, USA. the discussion was on potential supply for human capital in shared services center focusing on finance, IT and HR for Asia Pacific region.

Clubs and Societies Advisors and Presidents Hi-Tea Session in Malacca Campus

On 1st July 2010, 3.30 pm at Main Hall, Malacca Campus, Mr Baktiar atttended the Clubs and Socities Advisors and Presidents Hi-Tea Session. It was organized by Student Affairs Division (STAD) in cooperation with Student Representative Council (SRC). The objective of the event was to appreciate the contribution made by the Advisors and Presidents of clubs and societies throughout the year. It was officiated by Mr. Zamzuri Abd Majid, Senior Director, STAD.

Counseling Unit Representative (CURs) Promotion in Malacca Campus

On 1st July 2010, 10.00 am till 4.30 pm at MMU Malacca Campus, Counseling Unit Representative (CURs) Promotion and Peers Registration was organized by Counseling Unit, STAD. About 5 CURs from Cyberjaya Campus assisted the promotion among the students in Malacca Campus. The aim of the event was to recruit new CURs from students and also join Peers. At the same time, the activity had strengthen relationship between CCURs Cyberjaya with Counseling Unit, STAD and UPG Malacca Campus.

Self-Discovery Workshop 2010

On 30th June 2010, 12.00pm till 4.30 pm at MPH, Self-Discovery Workshop was organized by Jenet, Counselor, Counseling Unit, STAD. About 80 students participated in the program. The aim of the program was to assist the students to know better about themselves. Many activities were held.

Accenture Forum at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

On 30th June 2010, 12.00 - 5.30 pm at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Accenture Forum was conducted. Mr. Baktiar, attended the session. The objective of the forum was to strengthen relationship between Accenture with various higher institutions in the country. Besides that, there was a discussion between Accenture with the higher institutions about suggestions and future collaboration can be made. At the moment, about a significant number of MMU graduates working at Accenture. MMU is the second highest recruitment after Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in private university category.
