Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) Peers Club Visit MMU, Cyberjaya Campus

On 7th August 2010, 10.00 am at meeting room, Level 1, MMU Cyberjaya Campus Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) Peers Clyb visited MMU, Cyberjaya Campus. About 15 USIM Students came to our campus. The aim of the visit is to learn more from MMU students in organizing Career Fair. It is because, USIM Peers Club is being assigned to organize Career Day on 21th Sept 2010 at USIM Campus, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. Career Fair Team Session 2010/2010 briefed about how MMU Career Fair is being organized annually. Besides that, they were also briefed about FRIENDs who students assist Counseling Unit, STAD as volunteers in programs management and reaching out other students in campus. Hope this visit will strengthen relation among students from both universities.

MOU Signing Ceremony between MMU and Kulim Technology Park (KTPC) & MMU Cynergy Technopreneur Development Program Re-Launching

On 3rd August 2010, 2.00 - 5.30 pm an MOU Signing Ceremony between MMU and Kulim Technology Park (KTPC) & MMU Cynergy Technopreneur Development Program Re-Launching had been held. Among the VVIP were Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Binti Hj Mohd Ali, CHANCELLOR OF MMU and YB. Dato’ Ir Amiruddin Bin Haji Hamzah, Kedah State Exco (Industry), Presidents of MMU and others will attend the program. Besides that, a Technoprenuership Forum and Exhibition was also hed during the event. Mr Baktiar, attended the program.

MIT Lecture Series with Accenture Malaysia

On 24th July 2010, 9.00 am till 4.00 pm at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur about 40 selected MMU students were invited to join MIT Lecture Series organized by Accenture. Counseling Unit, STAD coordinated the students registration and logistic preparation to the lecture series. It is our hope, the students gain much knowledge and were able to widen their perspectives in many issues. The talk was delivered by Professor Srini Devadas of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. This was follow-up program offered by Accenture to MMU after Accenture Forum on 3oth June 2010 at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently. Mr Baktiar Hasnan, attended the Forum.

Dicussion with Telekom Malaysia (TM) Sponsored Students Alpha Level

On 26th July 2010, 2.00 - 4.00 pm at SRC room, Level 1, STC Building, Counseling Unit, Student Affairs Division (STAD) had the opportunity to know the students better. About 21 TM sponsored students from Cyberjaya Campus attended the session. STAD functions and roles were explained during the session. At the same time, certain issues had been highlighted by the students. Suhaili Abu Bakar, Manager, Accomodation, Welfare & Services Unit, STAD and 2 interns from UPM attached at Counseling Unit attended the session

Discussion with FRIENDs

On 23th July 2010, 2.30 pm at SRC room, Level 1, STC Building, Counseling Unit, STAD had a gathering session with students who applied to join FRIENDs. It was an opportunity for all to get to know each others better. At the same time, the students can understand more about FRIENDs. It is our hope, students will be more connected to each other become more FRIENDS in a truly manner. Next gathering will be held on 30th July 2010, 2.30 pm at SRC meeting room, Level 1, STC Building
