On 26th July 2010, 2.00 - 4.00 pm at SRC room, Level 1, STC Building, Counseling Unit, Student Affairs Division (STAD) had the opportunity to know the students better. About 21 TM sponsored students from Cyberjaya Campus attended the session. STAD functions and roles were explained during the session. At the same time, certain issues had been highlighted by the students. Suhaili Abu Bakar, Manager, Accomodation, Welfare & Services Unit, STAD and 2 interns from UPM attached at Counseling Unit attended the session 
On 23th July 2010, 2.30 pm at SRC room, Level 1, STC Building, Counseling Unit, STAD had a gathering session with students who applied to join FRIENDs. It was an opportunity for all to get to know each others better. At the same time, the students can understand more about FRIENDs. It is our hope, students will be more connected to each other become more FRIENDS in a truly manner. Next gathering will be held on 30th July 2010, 2.30 pm at SRC meeting room, Level 1, STC Building
On 21th July 2010, 8.30 am - 5.30 pm at Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi (SBPI) Sabak Bernam, Mr Baktiar Hasnan, from Counseling Unit, MMU participated in the Career Talk & Mock Interview with 140 form 5 students. The program was organized by Counseling Unit, SBPI, Sabak Bernam with the cooperation of Admisssions Bursary & Local Promotion MULTIMEDIA UNIVERSITY. 

On 1st July 2010, 3.30 pm at Main Hall, Malacca Campus, Mr Baktiar atttended the Clubs and Socities Advisors and Presidents Hi-Tea Session. It was organized by Student Affairs Division (STAD) in cooperation with Student Representative Council (SRC). The objective of the event was to appreciate the contribution made by the Advisors and Presidents of clubs and societies throughout the year. It was officiated by Mr. Zamzuri Abd Majid, Senior Director, STAD. 

On 1st July 2010, 10.00 am till 4.30 pm at MMU Malacca Campus, Counseling Unit Representative (CURs) Promotion and Peers Registration was organized by Counseling Unit, STAD. About 5 CURs from Cyberjaya Campus assisted the promotion among the students in Malacca Campus. The aim of the event was to recruit new CURs from students and also join Peers. At the same time, the activity had strengthen relationship between CCURs Cyberjaya with Counseling Unit, STAD and UPG Malacca Campus. 
On 30th June 2010, 12.00 - 5.30 pm at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Accenture Forum was conducted. Mr. Baktiar, attended the session. The objective of the forum was to strengthen relationship between Accenture with various higher institutions in the country. Besides that, there was a discussion between Accenture with the higher institutions about suggestions and future collaboration can be made. At the moment, about a significant number of MMU graduates working at Accenture. MMU is the second highest recruitment after Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in private university category.

Counseling Unit, STAD participated in JPA sponsored students registration program on 22 June 2010, 9.00 am -2.00 pm at CCU, MMU. About 90 newly JPA sponsored registered and enrolled for June Intake session 2010. STAD counter was opened for orientation kit bag distribution among new students. Besides that, STAD staffs also facilitated the hostel registration process during the program.

Counseling Unit, STAD was invited to attend a special meeting with Prof. Dr Nik Ahmad Kamal, Deputy Rector, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and his team at IIUM Gombak Campus on 23rd June 2010, 11.00 am. Among IIUM staffs attended the meeting were Ms Farizah, Assistant Director, Office of Deputy Rector (Student and Alumni Affairs), Dr. Nor Asiah Mohamad, Director, Student Development Division, Assoc. Prof Dr Jamal Ahmed Basheir Badi, Director, International Students Division, Hj. Kamaruddin Hj. Samat, Director, Student Affairs Division (STAD). The MMU delegation was headed by Dr. Faridah Ma'arof, Senior Director of Office of Strategy Management, MMU with her team. STAD representatives were Mr Omaruddin and Mr Baktiar This would further strengthen relationship between IIUM and MMU in many ways.

Discussion about New SRC Constitution with STAD was held on 15 June 2010, 10 am at Sri Ruby meeting room, MMU Malacca Campus. SRC Malacca Campus presented the proposal and received certain feedback froam STAD. Mr Omaruddin & Baktiar, STAD Cyberjaya Campus attended the discussion. 

We managed to visit the students booth during the Student's Club Registration Week on 15 June 2010, 1.30 pm at CLC Concourse, MMU Malacca Campus during STAD meeting. SRCs accompanied us and brief us what is happening through out the week. The clubs were creative and innovative in getting new members.






Closing Ceremony for Orientation Programme - June Intake 2010 was held on 3 June 2010, 4.30 pm at Multipurpose Hall, Cyberjaya Campus. It was officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President (Academic) MMU. In his speech, he share valuable knowledge about differences between studying in the university and at school. It is essential for the newly students to know what are their goals and ready to anticipate new challenges. The students need to adopt a positive culture rather than indulge in negative activities. It is the time, to explore and develop self potentials before joing the jobmarket. Other faculty staffs also attended the closing ceremony. The students will register their subject tommorrow at Multipurpose Hall.
