New FRIENDs Training Workshop

On 25th April 2012, 2.00 till 4.00 pm at Counselor's Training Room, STAD, New FRIENDS Training Workshop was held. It was conducted by Ms Jenet. FRIENDs are a group of selected students being trained by counselors to play an effective role as Peers in campus. Welcome guys!.

Discussion with Senior Director, Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD)

A discussion held with Mr Zamzuri Abd Majid, Senior Director of Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) on 24th April 2012, 11.00 am till 1.00pm in his office. All executives (Assistant Managers & Managers) were involved. Many updates about on going programs coordinated by STAD were being highlighted.

I-Blogger Bazaar Volume 2.0

Recently, on 26th April 2012, 5.00 pm at FCI Glass room, I managed to drop by to see I-Blogger Bazaar Volume 2.0 program organized by TM Scholarship Students in MMU, Cyberjaya. More than 20 booths were open during 2 days program. This activity encourage entrepreneurship culture among students in campus. Being an entrepreneur is also a career path need to be explore among students.

Talent RoadMap 2020 Launching Ceremony

On 26th April 2012, 2.30 pm at Putrajaya Information & Convention Centre (PICC) Talent RoadMap 2020 was launched by YAB Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abd Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The objective of the event to promote Malaysia as a new for global talent by 2020. I attended the event. Various human resources staffs from various companies also attended the event.

Bengkel Pemantapan Pengurusan Sekretariat Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP) Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Swasta (IPTS)

Recently on 18-20th April 2012 at Allson Hotel, Nilai Selangor, Bengkel Pemantapan Pengurusan Sekretariat HEP-IPTS was organized. More than 40 private universities, colleges attended the program. The objective of the event was to improve cooperation among private universities and colleges. At the same time, give suggestions to the Ministry about issues faced by private universities and colleges. I was also involved as part of committee from Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) MMU, Cyberjaya. Currently, MMU is managing Sekretariat HEP-IPTS and Mr Zamzuri, Senior Director STAD is the current Chairman of Sekretariat HEP-IPTS. More than 100 participants were involved. The program was supported by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

Future Leadership Program (FLP)

Recently on 13-15 April 2012 at Teratak Riverview, Tg Malim, Perak, Future Leadership Program (FLP) was organized by Students Representative Council (SRC) in cooperation Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) for 60 young potential leaders selected from students clubs and societies in MMU, Cyberjaya Campus. Ms Jenet was also the advisor and facilitator during the event. It is our hope these young leaders can assist us in developing towering personalities students in campus

Lucas Film Singapore Career Talk

On 12th April 2012, 3.00 pm at Faculty of Engineering (FOE) Executive Room, Lucas Film Singapore Career Talk was held. The session was Mr Vincent Chua, Recruiter and Mr Teh Huai Yuan, a Malaysian FX artist from Lucas Film Singapore.The talk received warm welcomed by students especially from Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) majoring in Film & Animation. More than 80 students registered online before the event. Lucas Film Singapore their latest animation, special effects in various blockbuster Hollywood film such s Transformer 3, Pirates of The Caribbean, Rango, and many more. The session was an opening eye for those who are interested with animation, special effects and others which relates with creative multimedia techniques and skills

Discussion with Director of TM Foundation

On 9th April 2012, 3.30 pm at Level 14, South Zone, Menara TM, Kuala Lumpur, there was a discussion with Pn Shafizah Abd Salam, Director of TM Foundation about special community program at Cambodia. It will be organized by TM sponsored students studying in MMU, Cyberjaya, Selangor. The program will be held in October 2012, is supported by Students Affairs & Sports Division (STAD).

Youth Career Development Program (YCDP) 2012

On 6-8th April 2012 at Residence Hotel@ UNITEN, Putrajaya Campus, Selangor, Youth Career Development Program (YCDP) was organized by University Peer Group (UPG) in collaboration with Counseling & Career Dev. Unit, Students Affairs & Sports Division (STAD), MMU, Cyberjaya Campus and Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). About more than 180 final years students attended the event. Among activities organized include CEO Forum, Dynamic Groups, Sharing Session and presentation. The speakers who came such as Dato' Seri Idris Jala, Minister of Prime Minister's Office, Mr Johan, CEO Talent Corporation Malaysia, Mr, Jason Lo, CEO Tune Talk and many more

TM Career & Exhibition Fair 2012

Recently on 6-8th April 2012 at TM Convention Center, Menara Kuala Lumpur, TM Career & Education Fair 2012 was organized. About more than 300 vacancies available for fresh graduates to grab. About 18,000 fresh graduates came for the fair. TM Foundation students studied in MMU, Cyberjaya participated in the fair as participants as well as volunteer. It gave a good exposure for students to understand what to expect in the interview, learn more from key industrial players and many more

QUINTIQ Assessment & Interview Day

On 2nd April 2012, 1.00 till 5.00 pm at FOE Executive Room, QUINTIQ Assessment & Interview Day was held. The main objective was to further evaluated seven shortlisted candidates and to be offered a job later. Counselor facilitated the logistic arrangement needed by the company during the event.

MMU Open Day 2012

Recently, counselors were also involved in the preparation of Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) booth for MMU Open Day 2012 on 30th Mac 2012. In fact, Prof. Dato' Dr. Muhammad Rasat, President of MMU delivered his speech during the Open Day preparation briefing too. The event was held on 31 March 2012 at Dewan Tun Canselor, Cyberjaya Campus from 9.00 am till 5.00 pm. The objective of the event was to promote MMU programs to potential students who just got their SPM 2011 recently. The next intake would be June 2012.

TM Sponsored Student Development Discussion between STAD & TM Foundation

Recently on 27 March 2012, 2.30 pm at STAD Meeting Room, Level 1, Student Centre Building, Cyberjaya Campus, there was a special discussion held between Student Affairs & Sports Division (STAD) and Telekom Malaysia (TM) Foundation. The objectives of the meeting was to established strategic cooperation in students developments for TM sponsored students studying in MMU. TM Foundation outlined several program which will be held throughout this year. In addition to that, STAD also shared several initiatives programs which conducted for these students. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zamzuri, Senior Director, STAD.All counselors were involved included Mr Fazli Shaari, Manager of STAD Malacca Campus. Whereas, TM Foundation discussion was headed by Ms. Shafizah, Director of TM Foundation.
